Seagull camera

Posted by

This is a very old seagull film camera made in Shanghai, much like the one of mine in China but actually not! I found it in a pile of wasted sundries. It's out of use, not know if it can be repaired.

Canon PowerShot SX1 IS 1/6 second F/2.8 ISO 80 5 mm

Nice to meet everybody here on aminus3 and thank you for your comments all along. Good luck!

Yes, I remember those old Seagull cameras and this looks like a DF. Back in that period, I was learning how to use a Zenit-E !

@Ronnie 2¢: I thought many other famous brands such as Cannon, Nikon... are popular to people in the world but never imagined seagull cameras could be also photo-lovers' favorites, especially favorites of those people living out of China! Your acknowledge with seagull cameras makes me so exciting and surprised! Really happy to hear what you told me about it! I have a DF in China and everything is in good condition! I bought my DF 15 years ago which cost all my pocket money...Expecting touch my seagull DF when back to China at an early time! Thanks very much, Ronnie!! Nice day!

I'm anxious to see the photos taken with this camera...if you can get it repaired.

The lens looks as though it could do some very soft focus-and not much else!

I like the contrast between the camera and the newspaper. Makes a fine, eye-catching shot.

Hey, I have a Seagull camera on 6x6 cm film format. I don't by this 24x36 film camera (bayonet mount, I remember) because I was the owner of a Zenit E camera in the '80. Good and inexpensive cameras!

@Paunel: 6x6 should be 120 camera mainly for black and white! You are so RICH!!! Many old toys!!! Congrats!
